C. Virginia Wenger

C. Virginia "Ginny" Wenger, age 84, of Akron, formerly of Ephrata, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012, in Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, PA. Born in Reamstown, a daughter of the late C. Weidler "Puppy" and Irene F. (Stricker) Rathman, she was the wife of Donald M. Wenger for 62 years. She was a 1946 graduate of East Cocalico High School. A life member of Salem Evangelical & Reformed Church, she was organist and choir member for over 60 years and served as elder and deacon. Ginny worked for Cinderella Knitting Mills and Donecker"s. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards with her lady's card clubs. Also surviving are daughters, Marcia A. (Gary) Kreider, Ephrata; and Theresa F. (Ronald Jr.) Frisbie, Akron; son, Ronald S. Wenger, North Cape May, NJ; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ardelle M. Moyer, Ephrata. A sister, S. Isabel Young, predeceased her. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 31, 2012, at 11:00 am from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Reamstown, with her pastor, The Rev. Stephen E. Hollinger officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery, Reamstown. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Contributions may be sent to Salem Church, Box D, Reamstown, PA 17567.
