Remembering Eleanor with Love... Eleanor S. Stork, 103, of 93 East Main Street , Adamstown, Lancaster County , died Sunday morning, November 27, 2005, at 6:45 AM in Ephrata Community Hospital where she had been admitted Saturday evening. Born June 21, 1902, in Wellsboro, Tioga County , she was a daughter of the late Robert Carl and Frances (Och) Siemens. Her husband, J. Newton Stork, died May 31, 1955. A member of Christ Episcopal Church, Reading, she graduated from Wellsboro High School and was a 1922 graduate of Beechwood College (now Arcadia College), Jenkintown. Eleanor was a dietician in the 1920's, employed by Cooper Hospital , Camden , NJ , and Philadelphia General Hospital , Philadelphia . A former cub scout den mother, she was also a former leader and committeewoman with Girl Scouts of America, and member of the Penn Laurel Girl Scout Council, Lancaster County . An avid seamstress, she also enjoyed knitting, cooking and baking. Surviving is a daughter, Ann S. Jackel, Phoenix , AZ ; a son, H. Robert Stork, Adamstown; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Henrietta Ziemer, Harriet Arnold and Rachel Siemens. Private Services... Private services on Saturday, July 22, 2006, at 11:00 AM by the family in Musser Chapel, Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown, PA, with inurnment next to her husband on the family plot. Eleanor's wishes were that rather than flowers, contributions may be sent to the Lancaster County Association of the Blind, 244 North Queen Street, Lancaster, PA 17603.
