Mary Barz

Mary E. Barz, 100, of Denver, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, at Ephrata Manor. Born in Mohnton, Mary was one of seven children born to William & Emma (Shutter) Bealer and the loving wife to Edward J. Barz for 65 years until his passing in 2006. Mary raised her family in the Shillington area. She loved being a mom and grandmother. Mary and Edward enjoyed the winters in their home in Largo, FL and summers in their Denver, Pa home. Mary enjoyed growing violets and always had multiple pots in the windowsills. She also enjoyed bingo and collecting Emmett Kelly dolls and figurines. Mary was independent and lived on her own until just a few weeks before her 100th birthday. She was a great cook and would make the family's favorites every time they visited. Mary outlived her siblings and often spoke of how much she missed them. Mary will be remembered for her quiet, gentle, and caring nature. Mary is survived by two children, Nancy L. Ebersole (Charles R.) of Mohnton and Larry E. Barz (Marilyn) of The Villages, FL; four grandchildren, Melissa Young, Katrina Wilson, David Barz, and Cynthia Mahon; & nine great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her six siblings. A viewing will take place on Fri., Sept. 9th from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., 34 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown (Stevens), Pa and a graveside service will follow at Pleasantview Cemetery, Sinking Spring, Pa.
