"Bucky" Buckwalter, 86, of 399 Walnut Street, Denver, PA 17517, died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at 3:40 AM in Lancashire Hall, Neffsville, where resided for the past 5 months. Born October 4, 1919, in Stevens, he was a son of the late Milton G. and Maggie (Ludwig) Buckwalter. His wife, Marjorie L. (Althouse) Buckwalter, died March 25, 1990. A member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Denver , he was last employed by Mi-Jan Fabrics in shipping and receiving, Denver , and had been a truck driver for many years. A long-time fire fighter, he was a past fire chief of Stevens Fire Company, chief engineer of the Denver Fire Company and a life member of both organizations. Richard was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving is a son, Terry L. Buckwalter, Denver , and a brother, David (Betty) Buckwalter, Adamstown. He was predeceased by a sister, Kathryn Sweigart, and a brother, Elmer Buckwalter. Private Graveside Service... Private graveside inurnment services will be held from Fairview Cemetery Annex, West Cocalico Township .
