Robert K. Sloan, age 81, formerly of Denver, Lancaster County, Springfield, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, died Friday, February 10, 2017, at 7:50 AM in Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born in Roxborough, Philadelphia County, a son of the late John G. and Mary (McElhanny) Sloan, he was married to Edna R. (Willard) Sloan for 58 years.He graduated in 1954 from Roxborough High School, was aKorean War Navy veteran, andworked as a maintenance mechanic for L. J. Stephens Sons, Essington. Also surviving is a daughter, Karen G., married to Keith Jackson, Rose Valley, PA; 4 grandchildren; anda sister, Alice Sloan, Lansdale, PA. He was predeceased by siblings, Jeanette Pater and John "Jack" Sloan. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 15, at 1 PM in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, 352 S. Gulph Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406. Please meet at the cemetery entrance at 12:45 to process to the gravesite.
