Allen E. Zimmerman

Allen E. Zimmerman, age 71, of West Cocalico Township, Reinholds, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, February 15, 2015, at 7:12 PM in Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Fivepointville, Lancaster County, a son of the late Allen H. and Edna M. (Klopp) Zimmerman, he was married to LaVerne R. (Fox) Zimmerman for 46 years on April 27, 1968. A Vietnam Army veteran he worked for E. J. Breneman, Sinking Spring, over 30 years. Allen enjoyed hunting, fishing, clamming and tinkering in his workshop. He cherished his grandchildren and was a member of Gold Prospectors. Also surviving is his daughter, Christel Zimmerman, Lincoln, DE; sons, David, married to Shannon (Livingston) Zimmerman, Raleigh, NC; Troy, married to Dede (Ritter) Zimmerman, Stevens; Frank, married to Yvonne (Howe) Zimmerman, Wernersville; 8 grandchildren; a sister, Sandy, married to Harry Schlouch, Mohnton; and brothers, William, married to Judie Zimmerman, Ephrata; Carl, married to Carrie Zimmerman, Denver, PA; Dennis, married to Bev Zimmerman, Sabinsville; & Terry Zimmerman, Ephrata. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at 7 PM from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Reamstown, with Pastor Les Cool officiating, and will conclude with military honors. The viewing will be from 5- 7 PM.
