Betty J. Shenk

Betty J. Shenk, 70, of Stevens, passed away at her home on April 20, 2025.

Betty was a dedicated waitress at the Evergreen Diner, where her hard work and dedication made an indelible mark on the hearts of many regulars until her retirement in 2017.

Throughout her life, Betty was known for her strong, independent spirit, along with her loving nature. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love for family was evident as she dedicated countless hours to babysitting her beloved grandbabies and great-grandbabies, creating cherished moments that will forever be remembered by all who knew her. The strength and warmth that Betty radiated remain in the hearts of those she loved. She will be remembered fondly as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always put her family first.

Betty is survived by her two children, Jennifer Wary and Jason Shenk. She was also the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren—Jessica Geiter, Elizabeth Ecenrode, Anthony Ecenrode, Daniel Wary III, Matthew Wary, Johnathan Wary, Hailey Shenk, and Bryson Shenk—and blessed with six great-grandchildren: Noah, Quinn, Paisley, Finan, Gracelyn, and Salem.
