Carl A. Swisher, 91, of Ephrata, passed away on Thurs., Sept 17, 2026 at Ephrata Manor. Born in Hopeland, he was a son of the late B. Franklin and G. Elizabeth (Harro) Swisher and the loving husband to his late wife, Betty.

Carl grew up in the Ephrata area. Enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps in 1952, a Korean War Veteran, proud to have served his country. For over 40 years he was a manager at Aggregates Equipment Inc. in Leola from which he retired. He also had two part time jobs, rendering at Messner Brothers in Terre Hill and R&R Auto Sales where ran tow truck. He was a true family man, loyal husband, good father, and had a very strong work ethic. A man of faith, he had regularly attended Washing Avenue Bible Church.

Survived by a son, Carl R. Swisher of Ephrata; son in law, Brian Kurtz of Akron; siblings, Walter A. Swisher, Shirley Gertler (Otto), B.J. Gertler (Roy), Rosemary Harrell (Robert).

In addition to his parents and spouse, Carl was predeceased by daughter, Kathryn Ann Kurtz, brothers, Charles and Dale Swisher; and sister, Fern Migliaoco

Graveside Service with Military Honors: Thurs., Sept. 24th at 11a.m. in Hopeland Church Cemetery, 295 N. Clay Rd., Lititz.
