Charles N. Moyer, Jr., 92, formerly of Reinholds and resident of Luther Acres, Lititz, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024. Born in Wernersville, Charles was a son of the late Charles N. Sr. and Mary G. (Harting) Moyer and the devoted husband of 61 years to Anna Mae (Yost) Moyer until her passing in 2020.
Charles was a U.S. Army veteran, He served most of his enlisted time in Germany and returned home in 1955. Charles was the Postmaster at the Reinholds Post Office for over 23 years. He enjoyed his job and the many relationships he developed at the post office. Serving his community was important to Charles and he was a charter member of the Reinholds Lions Club also serving a few terms as President of the club. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. In his retirement, Charles worked in the meat department at Weaver Markets. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and collecting baseball cards. He always had a strong work ethic and energy to serve others.
Charles is survived by three children, Patti Weaver (Dan Chiffens) of Denver, Charles N. Moyer III of Wernersville, & Todd O. Moyer (Michelle) of Ephrata; four grandchildren, Lauren Moyer (James Maloney), Tayler Moyer (Dylan Lindberg), Philip Weaver (Molly), & Jordan Weaver (Logan); & six great grandchildren, Kash Weaver, Sydney Weaver, Crew Weaver, Harrison Weaver, Emmett Weaver, and Scarlett Weaver; and sister, Mildred Schnoke. He was predeceased by two sisters, Betty Kramer and Arlene Stoudt, and a brother, Richard Moyer.
Services are private and his final resting place is Swamp Cemetery, Reinholds.
