The conference continues. In the late 1960’s, he also chaired Mathematic Conferences at Millersville University, bringing such notables as Werner von Braun and Buckminster Fuller to campus. Charles was a world traveler and for more than 20 years, organized and conducted winter semester-break tours, usually to warm destinations. Among his hobbies was gardening; he had many varieties of plants and flowers and tended them gingerly.
