Claire Ladawn Dorsey

Remembering Claire with Love... Claire LaDawn Dorsey, 56, of Ephrata, died unexpectedly at home Monday, January 12, 2009. Born in Ephrata, a daughter of the late Walter F. and Mabel G. (Rathman) Dorsey, she was a 1970 Ephrata High School graduate and had received her associate degree in accounting with Hiram G. Andrews Rehabilitation Center , Johnstown . Claire was baptized in the Christian faith and employed by Goodwill, Inc., as a photo license technician at the Park City Driver's License Center . She was a Wizard of Oz devotee and loved children, shopping, traveling, appreciated nature and collected Elvis Presley memorabilia. Surviving are brothers, Robert L. Dorsey, Ephrata; and James T. (Barbara) Dorsey, New Holland; and sister, Norma (Rathman) Weaver, West Jefferson, NC. Memorial Service...A memorial service will be held from Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, 131 Terrace Avenue , Ephrata , PA 17522 , on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at 2:00 PM with The Rev. Jeffrey Martin and The Rev. Abe Rhoads officiating. There will be no public viewing. Claire was cremated as she had requested.
