Clyde Weise, 88, of Sinking Spring, peacefully passed away on August 4, 2026 at Manor Care in Sinking Spring. Born August 6, 1937, in Ephrata, Clyde was the son of the late Frank P. & Alice M. (Kochart) Weise, and the husband of Doris A. (Marxen) Weise.

Clyde’s early years in Ephrata set the foundation for a lifetime of dedication and hard work. He began his long and distinguished career in warehouse management at J. J. Haines in Lancaster in 1953. Over nearly five decades—until his retirement in 2000, Clyde became a cornerstone of reliability and leadership within the company. His colleagues and those he mentored remember him both for his commitment to excellence and his ability to brighten the workday with a well-timed joke. Faith played an important role in Clyde’s life. He attended services at Harvest Fellowship Church in Reamstown and St. Paul's E.C. in Rothsville, building lasting connections within those congregations and finding strength and comfort through his beliefs. Beyond his professional endeavors, Clyde found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an enthusiastic bowler, finding camaraderie and relaxation with every game. Sundays held particular meaning for Clyde, as he cherished the tradition of playing cards, bringing together laughter, competition, and cherished memories with family and friends. Clyde’s character was shaped by a tireless spirit and a jovial heart. He will be remembered as a hard worker who never shied from a challenge, and as a jokester whose lighthearted remarks lifted spirits and forged bonds. Clyde’s remarkable journey through life serves as an inspiration to all who were fortunate to know him. He will be remembered with deep respect, cherished fondly, and profoundly missed.

Along with his wife, Clyde is survived by his daughter, Lucinda Marie Hoffman, and his son, Jan “Scott” Weise; five grandchildren: Rachel Schmuck, Autumn Schmuck, Brandy Hoffman, Zachary Hoffman, and Sara Weise; 13 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and sister, Sharon, wife of Barry Hinerdeer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank P. and Alice M. Weise, his grandchildren Bret and Ashley, and his sisters Erma, Helen, and Peggy.

A viewing will be held on Friday August 14, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Gravenor Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., 100 W Main St, Ephrata, PA 17522. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the same location.
