David A. Waid

Remembering David with Love... David A. Waid, 56, of 194 Duke Street , Ephrata, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at 8:36 PM in Lancaster General Hospital . Born in Ephrata, he was a son of David D. and Betty L. (Smith) Waid, Ephrata, and a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Ephrata. He had worked as a civilian precision instrument tester for the federal government at Aberdeen Proving Ground. A lifetime service award recipient from the Guy K. Bard Democratic Club, he was a member of the Ephrata AmVets, had volunteered with the former group E.C.H.O. and loved his cats, Amber and Suzy. Also surviving is a brother, Ronald E., Ephrata , PA ; a sister, Crystal E., wife of Michael E. Brodman, Lancaster, PA; and nieces and nephews. A sister, Beverly Ann, preceded him in death. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at 8:00 PM from Grace E. C. Church, 131 Terrace Avenue , Ephrata , PA , with his pastor, The Rev. Jeffrey L. Martin, officiating. A viewing will be held at the church from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 26, at 10:00 AM in St. Stephen's Cemetery, New Holland.
