Donald E. Steinmetz Jr., 56, affectionately known to many as Don, passed away on June 26, 2026, at his home in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, surrounded by family. Born on September 11, 1969, in Ephrata, Don was the son of Donald E. Steinmetz & Paula M. (Virginski) Spangler, and the loving husband for 35 years to Michelle (Mann) Steinmetz.

Throughout his life, Don built a respected career in the concrete industry. He brought his expertise and dedication to Latshaw Brothers, Woodland Concrete, and several other local concrete companies before working with BBC Concrete, where his commitment and reliability were well known. Beyond his achievements at work, Don found fulfillment and relaxation in the simple pleasures of life. He loved camping and fishing in the local area, and nothing made him happier than a peaceful day spent outdoors. A motorcycle enthusiast, Don treasured his time riding his Yamaha Rader—a passion that brought both adventure and camaraderie into his life. Those who knew Don will remember his independence, his unwavering loyalty to those he loved, and his steadfast focus on his family. A proud and engaged grandfather, Don was always present for his grandchildren, whether it was taking them to school or passing along life lessons, Don embraced the joys and responsibilities of grandparenthood with open arms, never hesitating to put his family first. Don leaves behind a legacy defined by hard work, devotion to family, and kindness to all. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, loved him, and were blessed to share in his journey through life.

In addition to his wife and mother, Don is survived by children, Stephanie Clark of Ephrata; Colby Mann of Ephrata, and Destiny Steinmetz of Ephrata; grandchildren Lily, Isaac, Renesmae, and Storm Jr.; and three siblings. And in addition to his father, Don was predeceased by a sister.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a viewing on Tues, June 30th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gravenor Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., located at 100 W Main St, Ephrata, PA 17522. Donald’s final resting place will be at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Brickerville.
