Doris W. Smith

Doris Smith, 79, of Ephrata died on April 14th, 2025, at the WellSpan Community Hospital of Ephrata. Born in Phillipsburg, September 25th, 1945, to the late Curtis and Mary (Baney) Walker. She was the wife of Jack Smith for 34 years.

Doris retired after 36 years at Ephrata National Bank. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, eating out, and her time and membership at Hope United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband Jack are her daughter, Sharon Kurtz of Ephrata; stepdaughter, Vickie, wife of Dale Sauder, of Akron; stepson, Ray, husband of Cherri (Hartman) Smith of Akron; five step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and twin sister, Janet Neff.

Doris is predeceased in death by her parents, and sister, Gloria Ellenberger.

In keeping with Doris’ wishes, there will be no public service held.
