Born in Reading , Berks County , he was a son of the late Clarence and Anna (Craig) Rothermel. His wife, Helen (Pfleger) Rothermel, died March 9, 1978. He was a truck driver for 35 years with Automotive Service, Inc., Sinking Spring, Berks County . Surviving is a son, Douglass H., married to Betty J. (Hess) Rothermel, Denver , Lancaster County ; a grandson; 2 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
