Obituary

Edward “Ted” Inshetski, 90, of Ephrata, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Keystone Villa. Born July 14, 1936, in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late John Inshetski and Elizabeth Biglin Inshetski. Ted married the love of his life, Joan Marie Lesnefsky Inshetski, and together they built a warm and welcoming home in Lancaster, PA, where they raised their family.

Ted and Joan shared a beautiful life centered around their children, grandchildren, and the many pets who were part of their household over the years. Their home was a place where laughter was constant, stories were plentiful, and there was always room for one more chair at the table. Ted was a protector, provider, mentor, and friend whose steady presence and unconditional love shaped the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He had a gift for making ordinary moments special—his quick wit, generous spirit, and ability to bring people together created memories that will endure for generations. Through their kindness and hospitality, Ted and Joan built an extended family that reached far beyond blood.

Ted proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1965, earning a sharpshooter badge during his service. After completing his military duty, he joined Penn Dairies, where he worked with dedication and loyalty for 40 years. He approached his work with the same steadfast commitment he brought to every part of his life.

A man of deep faith, Ted served as a Eucharistic Minister at Sacred Heart Church and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. He and his family devoted countless hours to their parish community, giving their time and energy to the faith they cherished.

Ted’s legacy lives on through the love he shared and the family he built. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Ted is survived by his children: Donna Marie Wojtowicz (wife of John); Susan Lynn Martin (wife of Timothy T.); Michael Alan Inshetski (husband of Allyson Lee); and Robert Joseph Inshetski (husband of Jason Tafoya). He is also survived by nine grandchildren—Janelle Lynne Root, Suzanne Brown, Samantha Martin, Joshua Martin, and Zachary Martin—and his sister, Faye Orcino. Along with his wife, Joan, Ted was predeceased by two children, Edward Robert and Mark Edward, and seven siblings: William, Donald, Jack, Joseph, Gerald, Elizabeth Scarborough, and Anne Adamski.

A celebration of life and Catholic Mass will be held at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, 320 Church Ave., Ephrata, PA 17522, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Ted will be laid to rest beside Joan at Saint Joseph’s New Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lancaster, PA.
