Esta M. Ansel

Esta M. Ansel, 83, Reamstown, died Aug. 10, 2014, in Conestoga View, Lancaster. Born in Denver, a daughter of Walter E. and Dorothy I. (Kilhefner) Keffer, her husband, Ralph Vernon Ansel, died May 15, 2012. A member of Salem Evangelical & Reformed Church, she attended Parkview Mennonite Church, both Reamstown. Esta worked for Kinder, then American Comfort Furniture, Denver. Known as "The Teddy Bear Lady" for her hand-crafted bears, she also loved cooking, baking and collecting recipes & cookbooks. Surviving: son, Douglas L. Ansel, Hazleton; daughters, Patricia A. (John L.) Gross, Akron; Darla Louise, Lititz; Pamela A. OConnor, Lebanon; and Diana L. (Brian) Jacoby, Eugene, OR; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. FUNERAL: Monday, Aug. 18, 10 AM, Parkview Mennonite Church, 57 E.
