Eva Briggs Snowden

Remembering Eva with Love... Eva W. Snowden, 97, formerly of Adamstown, Lancaster County , died Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at 2:08 PM in Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, Lancaster County , where she resided since April 1993. Born December 26, 1907, in Bowmansville, Lancaster County , she was a daughter of the late James B. and Anna (Oberholzer) Witwer. She was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Gordon H. Briggs, in 1944, and Arthur B. Snowden, in 1967. She was a member of St. Paul 's Evangelical Lutheran Church , Adamstown. Eva was a 1928 graduate of the Presbyterian School of Nursing, Philadelphia, and worked as a registered nurse for 28 years at Presbyterian Hospital, Philadelphia, from 1928-1956. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Viewing Service A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2005, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM from our parlors. The service will begin at 2:00 PM with The Reverend Sandra L. Gideon officiating. Burial will follow in Center Union Cemetery, East Earl Township, Lancaster County, PA.
