Gladys J. Wise

Remembering Gladys with Love... Gladys J. Wise, age 93, formerly of Akron , Lancaster County, PA , died Sunday, February 13, 2011, at 1:15 AM in Homestead Village , Lancaster . Born in Akron , a daughter of the late Norman Adams and Mamie Meade (Wolf) Smith, her husband, The Reverend Russel H. Wise, died January 1, 1990. A 1935 Ephrata High School graduate, she worked 20 years with RCA Corporation, Lancaster, PA. Gladys was a member of Akron Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, and assisted her late husband with administration of Kentucky at Mission , Canyon Falls Christian Center , and later Myerstown Evangelical Congregational Retirement Village , Myerstown, Lebanon County, PA. She loved sewing, embroidery and cooking. Surviving are step-children: Roberta Mileshovsky, Ozark , AL ; Elizabeth "Betsy" (David) Fisher, Earleville, MD; and Russel H., Jr., (Anita Schindler) Wise, Allentown; 5 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011, from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre, Reamstown, at 11:00 AM with her pastor, The Rev. Les Cool, officiating. Burial will take place immediately following in Brownstown Cemetery . There will be a viewing Friday from 10-11 AM.
