Grace L. Heim Schmolze

Remembering Grace with Love... Grace L. Heim Schmolze, 90, of 8 Oak Lane , Stevens, Lancaster County , died Thursday, October 11, 2007, at 7:30 PM in Denver Nursing Home, Stevens, PA. Born in Pitman, Schuylkill County , a daughter of the late Joseph I. and Sallie (Gahres) Stehr, she was the wife of Thomas F. Schmolze for 23 years. Her first husband, The Rev. John S. Heim, died October 22, 1976. Grace was a member of St. Paul 's Evangelical Congregational Church, Reamstown, and had been active with her 1st husband serving various E. C. churches in Lancaster and Berks Counties . She was a 1934 graduate of Upper Mahonoy Township High School . In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Phyllis L., wife of Lance R. Steierwald, Akron, PA; a son, Rev. Neil S., husband of Sandra (Eggleston) Heim, Lima, Peru; step-daughters, Shirley Ann, wife of Joseph W. Bean, Winfield, IL; and Linda Lee, wife of Frederick P. Solesky, Lebanon, PA; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alvin L., husband of Ruth (Keim) Stehr, Klingerstown, PA. She was predeceased by an infant son, Glenn I. Heim. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at 7:30 PM from Good Funeral Home, 34-38 North Reamstown Road , Reamstown , PA 17567 , with her pastor, The Rev. Kirk R. Marks, officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday, October 18, 2007, at 11:00 AM from St. Paul 's E. C. Church Cemetery , Pitman, Schuylkill County , PA. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Rather than flowers, it is requested that Grace be remembered with contributions to her church, St. Paul 's E. C.
