Harold G. "Hap" Young

Remembering "Hap" with Love... Harold G. Young, 89, formerly of Reamstown, died Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at 4:20 AM in Lancashire Hall, Neffsville, where he resided since November 2002. Born September 26, 1917, in Brecknock Township , Berks County , he was a son of the late Calvin B. and Nettie (Gerhart) Young, and was married to Roxie L. (Parnell) Young, Ephrata, for 63 years. Hap had been a meat cutter with the former Shober Sons Meats, Denver , and last worked for Dutch Peddler, Inc., Reamstown. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sandra L., wife of David Rogers, Ephrata , PA ; a son, Larry D., husband of Ruth (Moyer) Young, Moorsville , NC ; 2 grandchildren, Amanda L. and Daniel N. Rogers; and a sister, Elizabeth G., wife of Warren Ansel, Ephrata, PA; He was predeceased by 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2007, at 2:00 PM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre, Inc., 34-38 North Reamstown Road , Reamstown , PA, with Pastor Paul Vail officiating. A viewing will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery , Swartzville , PA.
