John W. Flood

John W. Flood, most lovingly known as John Boy, 64, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Supportive Concepts home in Reading. Born in Coatesville, John was a son of the late Ernest P. Toby’ and Ruth A. (Cochran) Flood.

John Boy was very funny, and he had a great laugh. He overcame everything with a smile despite the limitations that Down Syndrome brings. He was incredibly joyful and loved his John Cash music. He had a great memory and could remember the names of every pet and everyone's birthday. He was always active and worked at Handi-Crafters as an assembler in Coatesville. John Boy will be remembered for being friendly, affectionate, and lovable.

John Boy is survived by many cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas P. Flood.

Services are private. John Boy’s final resting place will be with his parents in Caernarvon Cemetery, Morgantown, Pa.
