John B. High Jr., of Stevens, went home to be with the Lord on June 21st, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on January 24, 1940, in Lancaster, to the late John B. Sr. & Barbara High, and the loving husband to Martha J. (Felpel) High for 26 years.

John dedicated much of his life to the trucking industry. He received education as a truck driver, specializing in long-haul operations, which opened doors that led him through various esteemed companies including Hess Farms, Lester Summers, and Stultz Trucking. He later became an owner/operator and worked with Quality Trucklines and Red Rose Trucking before bringing his skills closer to home. For over 21 years, John drove school buses for Brightbilt Transportation, serving the Manheim Township and Cocalico areas, where he became a familiar and comforting presence in the lives of countless children and their families. In addition to his professional endeavors, John was a devoted family man and member of his church community. He met his beloved wife at Gordonville Bible Church, and they were united in marriage in 1999. Their shared faith was evident in the ministry work they engaged in together. John was an active member of Harvest Fellowship, and he performed compassionate outreach at Faithful Living, bringing the teachings of the Bible to residents in need. His involvement extended to attending Men's Group at church and participating as a former member of the worship team, where he delighted others by sharing his musical talent on the guitar. John possessed a steadfast desire for others to know the Lord, reflecting his deep-rooted faith in every aspect of his life. His spirit and dedication to his beliefs significantly impacted those around him and will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Along with his wife, John is survived by three children, James B. (Tammy) High, Jeffry D. High, & Judy R. (Mike) Styer; five grandchildren; one step grandchild; three great grandchildren; a sister, Maryann Solesky. Along with his parents, John is predeceased by four sisters, Alma Brubaker, Dorothy Adams, Marion Risser & Ellen Stone; and a brother, Chester High.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. His final resting place will be at Memory Gardens.
