Judith A. Pennabecker, passed away on March 1st, 2026, at Masonic Village of Elizabethtown, at the age of 90. Born on November 13, 1935, in Denver, she was the daughter of the late Robert & Kathleen (Gensemer) Rathman, and the loving wife of 60 years to Willard L. Pennabecker until his passing in 2014.
Judith was a proud graduate of Denver High School, where she completed her education in 1953. She was known for her unwavering love for her family. As a dedicated homemaker, she poured her heart into creating a warm and nurturing environment for her children and extended family. Her spirit shone through in the joy she found in spending time with her six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, making lasting memories and sharing moments that will be cherished by all. An adventurous soul at heart, Judith enjoyed traveling out west, embracing the beauty of America’s national parks on many memorable trips with her husband, Willard. Her love for life and family was evident in everything she did, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Judith is survived by her daughter, Gail L., wife of Robert Frankhouser of Lancaster; her sons, Jan L., husband of Jane (Moll) Pennabecker of Sinking Spring, and Dean L. Pennabecker of Denver; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be private to the family. Judith’s final resting place will be at the Fairview Annex in Denver.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are appreciated to Masonic Charities; Office of Mission Advancement and Development, 1 Masonic Dr, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. In the check memo line, please note “Hospice Fund”. The family would like to share their gratitude to the staff at Masonic Village for all the support and care they provided to their mother.
