Katie Stubbs

Remembering Katie with Love... Katie Stubbs, 85, of 200 Hill Road , Denver , died Monday, March 12, 2007, in Ephrata Community Hospital . Born February 5, 1922, in Swartzville, a daughter of the late Milton B. and Mary (Harting) Young, her husband, Harold V. Stubbs, died January 30, 1996. She was a graduate of East Cocalico High School, Reamstown, a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, enjoyed reading, tending to her house plants and was also a member of the Adamstown VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Katie had worked at Hope Hosiery, Adamstown, for many years. Surviving is a son, J. Eric, husband of Carla S. (Fahnauer) Stubbs, Denver ; grandchildren, John V. Stubbs and Ashley M., wife of Matthew Eberly; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Hannah and Landon Eberly, Jordan and Jocelyn Smith, and Olivia Stubbs; and a sister, Mabel H., wife of Pierce D. Sweigart, Denver. Also preceding her in death was a son, Edward, brother Victor Young, and sister, Maggie Stork. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at 10:00 AM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre of Reamstown with her pastor, The Rev. William E. Hoch, officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until service time. Burial will follow in Bowmansville Union Cemetery .
