Lucille M. Hartranft

Remembering Lucille with Love... Lucille M. Hartranft, age 71, of Ephrata, Lancaster County, PA, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011, in Ephrata Community Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in East Cocalico Township , a daughter of the late J. Stanley and Arwilda M. (Haldeman) Leid, she was the wife of Charles W. Hartranft for 40 years on October 9th. A life member of Muddy Creek Lutheran Church , she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and served on the altar guild. Lucille was a 1958 Cocalico High School graduate and worked for Walter W. Moyer, Inc., Ephrata; Colebrook-Terry, Akron; and New Holland Lingerie, Reamstown, and enjoyed time at the mountain cabin. Also surviving are sisters, Peggy A. Leid, and Carolyn M. (Rev. Robert A.) Kramer, both of Denver; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Shirley L. Weinhold. Service Information... Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011, at 10:00 AM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre, Reamstown, with The Reverend Paul W. Smeltz and The Reverend David T. Hinkley officiating. Burial will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery , Swartzville. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
