Lucinda Diane (Gerhart) Ritter, 71, of Ephrata, passed peacefully in her sleep on June 1, 2026, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Cindy faced her diagnosis with unwavering positivity and grit; she was an inspiration to all who met her.

A native of Ephrata, Cindy was the daughter of the late Jacob and Arletta (Bingeman) Gerhart. She graduated from Ephrata High School and attended the evening program at Lancaster Bible College. She also took business classes through Penn State. During her career, she worked in Human Resources. In 1992, after marrying Larry Ritter, Cindy transitioned to being a stay-at-home mom. She went on to homeschool both of her daughters from grades K-12.

Over the years, Cindy was an active member of Calvary Church where she served in children’s ministries and guest services. For the past nine years, she also enjoyed volunteering at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. Above all, Cindy will be remembered for her deep faith in God, her heart for encouraging others, and her gift of hospitality.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Larry; daughters Laura Rudy (Nicholas) of Lititz and Lena Ritter of Akron; grandson Luke Rudy; sister Kathleen Leach (Larry) of England.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 4:30 P.M. at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA. Visitation with the family will begin at 2:30 P.M. A private burial will be held at Mohler Church of the Brethren.
