MaryAnn Bender, 83, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, at her home in Ephrata. Born on December 9, 1942, in Warwick Township, MaryAnn was a daughter of the late Melvin and Miriam (Shreiner) Mohler, and the loving wife of the late Richard F. Bender Sr. until his passing in 2013.

A high school graduate at Conestoga Valley High School, MaryAnn chose the path of a homemaker, dedicating her life to nurturing her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her, reflecting a spirit of care and unwavering support. MaryAnn had a special love for the beach and was a big fanatic for the Dallas Cowboys. Her memory will continue to be a guiding light for all who were fortunate to know her.

She is survived by her four children: Douglas R. Bender and his wife Debbie, Kimberly J. Bender, Richard F. Bender and his wife Tammy, and Brian S. Bender and his wife Lisa; five grandchildren, Christopher, Catherine Anne, Elizabeth, Taylor, and Briana; four great-grandchildren, Riley, Avery, Lucas, Elenore; four siblings: Nelson Mohler, Brenda Eberly, Cindy Gerhart, and Barry Mohler. Along with her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brother, Robert Mohler.

Services will be private to the family. MaryAnn’s final resting place will be at Middle Creek Church Cemetery.
