Mildred L. Hall

Mildred L. Hall, 93, born on April 22, 1932, in Lancaster County, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, at Ephrata Hospital. She was born to the late Sylvester and Anna (Witmer) Long, and the loving wife of Edward J. Hall until his passing in 2004.

Millie enjoyed several years with Norman Witmer (deceased).

She lived a rich and fulfilling life, dedicated to her family and her work as a waitress at Zinn’s Diner for 29 years. Mildred's love for her job was evident in the joy she found in serving her customers and the deep connections she formed with her coworkers. Throughout her career, she embraced every opportunity to meet new people. In her personal life, Mildred cherished the simple pleasures that brought her joy. She had a fondness for roller skating in her younger days with her children. Mildred also relished her time at the beach and enjoyed shopping trips, particularly those shared with her daughters—a time she treasured dearly. Above all, she loved her family and friends and placed great value on family gatherings, which were never short of laughter and warmth.

Mildred is survived by four children: Ronald Cover, the husband of Lynn, Jane Ansel, the wife of Michael, Darla Schumacher, the wife of the late David, and Scott Cover, companion of Lesly Baker. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Diana Porter, Robert Gehman, Rebecca Yoder, Lisa Chatari, Ryan Gehman, Trista Everhart, and Terra Schumacher, along with her step-grandchildren Jessica, Eric, and Joshua Ansel. Her love extends further as she is remembered by her 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mildred is preceded in death by her siblings Walter Long and Baby Jane Long.

Friends and family are invited to a viewing on July 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., located at 34-38 N. Reamstown Road, Reamstown, PA 17567. Mildred’s final resting place will be at Weaverland Cemetery.
