Mildred Hutchinson

Remembering Mildred with Love... Mildred Hutchinson, 87, formerly of Stevens, died Friday, March 23, 2007, at 3:45 PM in Maple Farms Nursing Center , Akron , where she resided the past 3 years. Born in Ephrata, a daughter of the late Charles Z. and Mary (Drybread) Hoshower, her husband, John L. Hutchinson, died November 27, 1997. A member of Mellinger's Evangelical Lutheran Church , Schoeneck, she was active in social ministries and sang in the choir. Millie worked at Walter W. Moyer, Inc., Ephrata, for 18 years, and retired in 1986 from Ephrata School District , where she was kitchen staff manager at Bergstrasse Elementary School cafeteria. She loved cooking and baking. Surviving is a son, John C., husband of Dorothy (Hollenbach) Hutchinson , Denver , PA ; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Hicks, Lancaster , PA. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at 11:00 AM from Mellinger's Lutheran Church , 80 Gockley Road , Stevens, PA 17578, with her pastor, The Rev. Timothy L. Craven, officiating. Burial will follow in Mellinger's Cemetery, Schoeneck. A viewing will be held at the church from 10-11 AM. It was Mildred's wishes that rather than flowers, contributions may be sent to the Building and Maintenance Fund of her church at the address above.
