Nancy M. Sweigart, 87, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, at Maple Farms Nursing Home. Born on January 15, 1939, in Wernersville, Pennsylvania, Nancy was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Rickert) Boyer, and the loving wife of Fred M. Sweigart for 40 years until his passing in 2001.

Nancy was a graduate of Conrad Weiser High School, Class of 1957. She worked as a devoted manager of the Ephrata School District cafeteria for nearly two decades. A devoted member of Grace E.C. Church in Ephrata, Nancy’s faith played an important part in her life. Throughout her years, Nancy found happiness and rejuvenation at her vacation home in Delaware, where she enjoyed boating and the beach, cherishing the time spent in nature’s embrace. For nine years, she called Keystone Villa home, where she delighted in playing bingo among friends and neighbors. Earlier in her life, Nancy was an active part of Friendly Circle, traveling with friends and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Nancy was known for her spunky manner and sharp, sarcastic humor that provided warmth and light-heartedness to those around her. Her steadfast and encouraging spirit was especially evident in her role as a mother, where she found immense joy and purpose. Nancy’s presence will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Nancy is survived by her children: Virginia K. (Steve) Ewing of Estero, FL; Randy F. (Lucie) Sweigart of Cressona; Marie L. (Ronald) Forney of North Carolina; Kevin L. (Karen) Sweigart of Ephrata; Karen L. (Steve) D'Agostino of Reading; and Ray C. (Tina) Sweigart of Reinholds. She was also a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and a great-grandmother to eighteen great-grandchildren. Nancy is predeceased by her siblings, John Boyer, Charles Boyer, Ralph Boyer, and Pearl Ann Boyer.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Gravenor Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc. located at 100 W. Main Street, Ephrata, PA 17522. Nancy’s final resting place will be at Groffdale Mennonite Church Cemetery.
