Family was everything, she loved her family deeply, offering her support and love in all circumstances. Orvilla would babysit, which was a perfect pastime for her mothering nature. She had open-door hospitality, and her table always had room for an extra seat, all were welcome. She was a great cook! She enjoyed bus trips and loved the mountains and the beach. Renting a cabin in Mifflinburg and Woodward and going to the beach in Ocean City MD were some of her most treasured family destinations. Later, camping became the family favorite as they spent time in Swatara and Pinchot State Parks, Shady Oaks, and French Creek. Orvilla always enjoyed the company and conversation that came with card games. While raising her family, Orvilla attended Blue Ball Church of the Brethren. After Alvin passed, she attended Grace E.C. Church in East Petersburg and Ephrata Church of the Brethren, joining her children each Sunday. Orvilla will be remembered for her quiet, sweet, loving, and warm nature.
