Phoebe E. Fritz

Remembering Phoebe with Love... Phoebe E. Fritz, age 81, of Denver , Lancaster County, PA, died at home November 2, 2010, at 5:00 AM following a brief illness. Born in Ephrata, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Martha (Haines) Rupp. Phoebe was a beautician for many years in Reamstown, was kitchen manager for Reamstown Athletic Association and Adamstown VFW, and partnered in a Lancaster knitting business. She loved reading, knitting, sewing, painting, and was an avid card player with several card clubs, enjoying pinochle and hasenpfeffer. Surviving is a son, Richard E. "Rick" Fritz, Jr., and his wife, Susan (Sheets) Fritz, Elizabethtown ; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Fritz; sisters, Fay Herr, Rockwell , NC , and Peggy (Carl) Good, Mt. Gretna; and a brother, Donald (Liz) Rupp, Glen Bernie, MD. She was predeceased by siblings, Marion Nissley and Reed Rupp. Viewings Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held Friday, November 5, 2010, at 11:00 AM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre, Reamstown, with Chaplain Glenn A. Beard, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery , Ephrata. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 pm and prior to the service Friday. Rather than flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, Box 4125 , Lancaster , PA 17604-4125 .
