R. Laverne Burkhart

Remembering LaVerne with Love... R. LaVerne Burkhart, 88, Spring Township , died at home Feb. 19, 2008. Born in Bowmansville, a daughter of the late Charles H. and Katie B. (VonNeida) Wise, her husband, Irvin "Abie" Burkhart, died May 4, 1999. A member of Wyomissing UCC, she was a 1938 graduate of New Holland High School . Surviving is a daughter, Sally J. Burkhart, Sinking Spring, and a brother, Richard B. (Melva H. Cramer) Wise, Leesport. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at 11:00 AM from Wyomissing UCC, Gouglersville, PA, with her pastor, The Rev. Elmer B. Reinhold, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Bowmansville Union Cemetery . A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
