Ralph Vernon Ansel

Remembering Vernon with Love... Ralph Vernon Ansel, age 82, of Reamstown, Lancaster County, PA, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at 2:40 AM in Conestoga View, Lancaster, PA. Born in Reamstown to the late Arthur and Carrie (Fassnacht) Ansel, he was married to Esta M. (Keffer) Ansel for 63 years. A member and former elder of Salem Evangelical & Reformed Church, he also attended Parkview Mennonite Church , both in Reamstown. Retiring in 1991 from MAC, Inc., East Petersburg , he loved music, especially marching bands, and Boys Life and Boy Scout memorabilia. A proud, life-long resident of 'his' Reamstown, Vernon served the fire company for over 30 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Douglas L. Ansel, Freeland; daughters: Patricia A. (John) Gross, Akron; Darla Louise, Lititz; Pamela A. O'Connor, Lebanon; and Diana L. (Brian) Jacoby, Eugene, OR; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marian L. (Elton) Weitzel, Reading. Service Information... Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 9:30 AM from Parkview Mennonite Church , 57 East Church St reet, Reamstown , PA 17567 , with The Reverend Matthew Martin and The Reverend Stephen Hollinger officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery , Sinking Spring, Berks County, PA. Viewings will be held on Friday, May 18, from 6 to 8 pm from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, PA, and Saturday from 9 to 9:30 AM at the church.
