Richard E. Shirey

Richard E. Shirey, age 86, formerly of Denver, died Thursday, February 23, 2017, at 5:25 PM in Gardens at Stevens. Born in Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Harry and Emma (Kreider) Shirey, his wife Erma Arleen (Renninger) Shirey, died October 23, 2008. Richard was a self-employed truck driver most of his life and had served in the United States Army. Surviving is his daughter, Carol A., married to Darrell Bewley, Denver, PA; and his son, Robert E., married to Carol (Manmiller) Shirey, Bethel, PA; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy. Good Funeral home, Reamstown, is providing assistance to the family.
