Richard "Shuppy" Slabach

Remembering "Shuppy" ... Richard "Shuppy" Slabach, 87, formerly of Adamstown, Lancaster County , died Saturday, February 25, 2006, at 10:40 PM in ManorCare Sinking Spring where he resided since 1995. Born October 12, 1918, in Ephrata Township , Lancaster County , he was raised by the late Harry P. Slabach and the late Elsie (Pierce) Zerbe Slabach. He was known for riding his bicycle around Adamstown and assisting in handyman chores for various families. "Shuppy" retired after 44 years of employment by Bollman Hat Factory, Adamstown. Viewing Graveside Service... A brief viewing will be held at our funeral home on Wednesday, March 1, 2006, from 1:00 to 1:15 PM. We will plan on leaving at 1:15 for the graveside service at 1:30 PM at Muddy Creek Cemetery , East Cocalico Township , Lancaster County .
