Sally Ann Kieffer died January 25, 2026, at 80 years young.
Born Sally Ann Reisinger on May 17, 1945, to Wendell George Reisinger and Betty Louise Hofmann in Altoona. Sally was a loved daughter, sister, mother, wife, Grammy, Aunt, and friend.
On November 11, 1967, Sally married Eugene (Gene) Kieffer. Sally and Gene moved into their home in Ephrata on July 6, 1972, where they lived for over 50 years together.
Those who knew her would not be surprised to know her house was filled with photo albums, crafts, candles, holiday decorations, puzzles, Jan Brett books, stamps, stickers, cards, and “knick knacks”.
Sally was a member of the Grace Church in Ephrata where she faithfully attended.
Sally found enjoyment and fulfillment through her work at the Ephrata School District, first as a teacher’s aide and later as a library aid.
Sally and Gene lived her late years in State College close to family. Despite her battle with Dementia, she never forgot her husband, Gene.
Sally is proceeded in death by her parents Wendell and Betty, brothers and sisters-in-law Skip Reisinger (Noreen), Joel Reisinger (Janette), Barry Reisinger and beloved niece Patty Reisinger.
Sally is survived by her husband Gene, her sons Ted Kieffer (Theresa) and Tim Kieffer (Kelly Ann), her grandchildren Mikayla Koudela (Lonnie “Shorty”), Halen Kieffer, Tayten and Graysen Kieffer, brother Bob Reisinger, sister Susan Reisinger, and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Gravenor Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre; 100 W. Main Street, Ephrata, PA 17522. Sally’s final resting place will be at Memory Gardens in Ephrata.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Centre County Youth Service Bureau, a non-profit where her granddaughter works. In honor of Sally, you can also donate your unused goods to your favorite thrift shop (ReUzit on State was always Sally’s favorite!).
