Susie M. Redcay

Remembering Susie with Love... Susie M. Redcay, 83, formerly of Reinholds, died Friday, January 4, 2008, at 8:00 AM in Rainbow Terrace of Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim, where she resided since April 2005. Born in Terre Hill, she was a daughter of the late Joseph M. and Annie Elizabeth (Oberholtzer) Weaver. Her husband, Elam G. Redcay, died April 15, 1980. A 1941 graduate of Terre Hill High School , Susie was a member of Swamp Evangelical Lutheran Church , Reinholds, where she had been active in the Christian Women and Christmas Bazaar, and was a member of the Reinholds Lioness Club. Employed by Walter W. Moyer, Inc., Ephrata, she also assisted in farming for many years, including driving tractor. She was a prolific basket weaver and enjoyed traveling. Surviving is a son, James R., husband of Marie K. (Gress) Redcay, Reinholds , PA ; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. Susie was also predeceased by a daughter, Linda Lou Hainley, and a brother, Lester O. Weaver. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at 10:00 AM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre of Reamstown, with her pastor, The Reverend Dennis L. Trout, officiating. Burial will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery , Swartzville , PA. A viewing will be held on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
