Remembering Peter with Love... Peter M. Barbernitz, 77, of 380 Blue Lake Road , Denver , died in his home Friday, July 7, 2006, under hospice care. Born January 15, 1929, in Baltimore , MD , he was a son of the late Peter M. and Anna C. (Schuch) Barbernitz, and was the husband of Frida (Holzapfel) Barbernitz for 55 years. A 1950 graduate of Loyola College , Baltimore , he retired in 1992 as assistant regional director of the East Central Region, Boy Scouts of America, after 43 years of service. A member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, he also belonged to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of the church and was a member and past treasurer of the Reinholds Lions Club. Peter loved people and will be remembered for his warm personality and public speaking with a great sense of humor. An active retiree, he was a world traveler and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Mary (Jon) Corrado, Chicago, IL; 3 sons, Peter M. (Linda Pescarmona) Barbernitz, Silver Spring, MD; Thomas (Judy Estep) Barbernitz, The Bahamas; Mark (Martha Albanese) Barbernitz, Denver, PA; grandchildren, Peter Michael, Diane, Troy, Shelly, Kristen, Kara Mark Barbernitz, and Carolyn, Joseph Elizabeth Corrado; sisters, Sister Mary Rita Barbernitz, Aston, PA; and Patricia Barbernitz, Baltimore, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Anne (Tom) Hughes, Van Nuys , CA ; brother, Fr. John P. Barbernitz, and sister, Catherine Kashen. Viewing, Service Mass Details...A viewing will be held from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre, Inc., 34-38 North Reamstown Road , Reamstown on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a wake service at 7:00 PM. A mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 11, at Noon from St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 2810 St. Albans Drive , Sinking Spring , PA 19608 . There will be no viewing at the church on Tuesday. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at 11:00 AM from St. Clement's Catholic Church, Chesico Avenue, Baltimore, MD.
