Betty A. Schweitzer

Betty A. Schweitzer, age 90, of Adamstown, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday,March 8, 2016, at 9:00 AM, in Denver Health Rehabilitation Center, Stevens, PA. Born in Calcium, Berks County, PA, a daughter of the late James N. and Arlene (Brobst) Musket, her husband, Richard Schweitzer, died January 7, 2000. She was a member and active in the social ministry of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, the ladies auxiliary of both the Adamstown and Reinholds VFW, enjoyed playing hausenpfeffer and marbles, and cherished her grandchildren. Betty retired from Bollman Hat Company. Surviving is her daughter, Jean L., married to Randy O. Good; sons, Richard P., married to Vickie (Specht) Schweitzer, Mark A., married to Cindy (Nye) Schweitzer; all of Adamstown; and Stephen J., married to Anita (Hurst) Schweitzer, Dallas, Luzerne County, PA; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. The viewing will be Monday, March 14, 10-11 AM, from Peace UCC, 37 E. Swartzville Rd., Denver, PA 17517, with the funeral service at 11 AM. The Rev. William E. Hoch will officiate. Inurnment will take place on Friday, March 18, at 10 AM in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown. Rather than flowers, contributions to her church.
