M. Margaret Gensemer

M. Margaret Gensemer, age 89, of Denver Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at 3:20 PMin Ephrata Community Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in New Albany, Indiana, a daughter of the late Prentice and Mary Ethel (Atwell) Sturgeon, her husband, George Gensemer, Jr., died February 24, 1987. She was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church, Denver. Margaret was a longtime employee of the former Hess Foods, Ephrata, and served as the local registrar for the PA Division of Vital Records for over 20 years. A 'Grandma' to many, she cherished her family and friends. Surviving is her son, Michael G., married to Brenda G. (Becker) Gensemer, Denver; her grandson, Stephen M., married to Amy (Leininer) Gensemer, Rockville, Maryland; and great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Michael. A brother, William Sturgeon, predeceased her.
