Dorothy M. Woods

Dorothy M. Woods, age 92, formerly of Adamstown, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 1:20 PM in Gardens at Stevens (Denver Nursing Home). Born in Ephrata, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Pierce) Dickersheid. Dorothy was a 1943 Ephrata High School and 1944 Reading Business Institute graduate and worked at a Trim Office Clerk for Bollman Hat Company, Adamstown. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Adamstown, and enjoyed painting, crocheting, sewing, crafts and loved her dogs, especially the late 'Skipper' 'Tippy'. Her husband of 72 years, Samuel K. Woods, died February 9th. Surviving are her children, Donna (Robert) Steffy, Denver; son, Gary (Fran Stophel) Woods, Mohnton; grandchildren: Jamie, Ian and Megan; and great-grandchildren: Victoria, Tyler, Ethan, Everleigh and Griffin. Brothers, Eugene and Richard Dickersheid, predeceased her. The viewingand funeral will be held privately at Dorothy's request with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown. Kindly omit flowers.
