Obituary

Florence M. Hannum, affectionately known as Bonnie, was born on September 23, 1943, in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, and she peacefully passed away on December 29, 2025, at Faithful Living Nursing in Denver. Bonnie was the daughter of the late Walter and Mildred (Carns) Cressman, and the loving wife of the late Robert “Bob” Hannum.

Bonnie spent her childhood in Collegeville and carried the warmth of her upbringing throughout her life. After her marriage, she lived in various places, including North Wales, Ambler, Horsham, Harleysville, and Mannheim, before finally settling in Denver, where she found great joy in being closer to her family. Family was undoubtedly a cornerstone of Bonnie's life. Bonnie had a wealth of interests and hobbies that reflected her vibrant spirit. She cherished spending quality time with her family, where countless memories were made. An avid reader, she found comfort in the pages of her favorite books. Dining out was a delight for her, as was the thrill of thrift store shopping, where she often found treasures and enjoyed the hunt. Before the passing of her beloved husband, Robert Hannum, she reveled in riding as a passenger on their motorcycle, forming lasting friendships as a member of the Retreads Motorcycle Club. Together, they embarked on many exciting trips, further deepening their bond. In addition to her family and hobbies, Bonnie was a dedicated member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Adamstown, which held a special place in her heart. She attended services regularly, embracing her community in faith and fellowship. Bonnie lived a life woven with love, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Bonnie is survived by her three children: Cheryl Lynn Gomez and her husband Larry of New Jersey; Robert P. Hannum Jr. and his wife Laura of Horsham; and Kimberly N. Blessing and her husband Troy of East Earl Township; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mildred (Carns) Cressman, and her husband, Robert Hannum.

Services will be private to the family.
