Remembering Dorothy with Love... Dorothy J. Ansel, age 79, formerly of Ephrata, Lancaster County, PA died Sunday, July 22, 2012, in Cedar Haven, Lebanon, Lebanon County, PA. Born in Denver, Lancaster County, PA, a daughter of the late Henry and Elsie (Saylor) Messner; her husband, Carl R. Ansel, died July 5, 2005. Dorothy was employed by the Cocalico School District as a cafeteria worker. She adored children and spending time with her family. Surviving are her sons, Rick L. Ansel, Port Charlotte, Florida; Michael H. (Jane Gehman) Ansel, Denver, PA; and Scott W. (Donna Brobst) Ansel, Richland, PA; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth (Patricia) Messner, Denver, PA. She was also predeceased by sisters, Betty Althouse and Lucy Althouse; and a brother, Henry Messner, Jr. Service Information... A private memorial service will be held by the family. Inurnment will take place in Fairview Cemetery Annex, near Denver, PA. Rather than flowers, contributions may be made in Dorothy's memory to the charity of your choice.
