Helen I. Haws

Remembering Helen with Love... Helen I. Haws, 96, formerly of Ephrata and Reamstown, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at 10:55 PM in Denver Nursing Home, Stevens. Born in East Cocalico Township , she was a daughter of the late Rufus and Sarah (Latshaw) Wingenroth. Her husband, Darius G. Haws, died June 19, 1996. The oldest member of St. Paul 's Evangelical Congregational Church, Reamstown, she was a member of the Reamstown Happy Hours Club and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking. Helen was employed by the former Clarks Pies, Stevens, and had worked many years ago at General Cigar, Ephrata. She is survived by a daughter, Sara C., wife of Kenneth Frazer, Denver , PA ; 4 sons, Howard D., husband of Elizabeth (Weidman) Haws, Akron, PA; Jonathan E., husband of Robbin (Markel) Haws, Reinholds, PA; Melvin V., husband of Ladele (Sheckard) Haws, and Carl E., husband of Vicki (McCreary) Haws, both of Ephrata, PA; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2007, at 10:00 AM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre of Reamstown, with her grandson, The Rev. Bradley J. Haws, The Rev. Kirk R. Marks and The Rev. Melvin H. Stehr officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery , Sinking Spring , PA. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
