Georgean Y. Bixler, 93, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, at Ephrata Manor. Born on December 19, 1932, in Adamstown, Georgean was a daughter of the late Samuel E. & Kathryn (Gehman) Youndt, and the loving wife of Galen S. Bixler for 60 years until his passing in 2014.

Georgean was a proud graduate of Shillington School, class of 1950. She dedicated her professional life to her role as an office worker at Duchmaid Inc. Georgean was a devoted member of the Peace United Church of Christ, contributing her time and talents to the Alter Guild and the Prayer Circle, where she found great joy and fulfillment in serving others. Beyond her church activities, she was an avid card player and enjoyed participating in the High School Women's Group, where she cherished the friendships and connections formed over shared experiences. Her life was a testament to love, service, and dedication, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Craig Y. (Gina Hackman) Bixler, and her two grandsons, David and Brad Bixler, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. Georgean is predeceased by her husband, parents, and two sisters, Kathryn Ansel and Patricia Unruh.

Private interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown.
