Edwin R. Kramer

Edwin R. Kramer, age 87, formerly of Reinholds, West Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Monday, May 26, 2014, at 7:25 PM in Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA. Born in Stevens, Lancaster County, a son of the late Harvey A. and Annie T. (Steffy) Kramer, his wife of 57 years, June M. (Kauffman) Kramer, died May 19, 2009. He attended St. John"s Center Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Earl, PA, had been a former active member and church council member of Swamp Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reinholds, PA. Edwin retired in 1991 as foreman after over 25 years with Win-Kit Co., Reinholds, and then following retirement worked with American LaFrance, Akron, PA. A West Cocalico Township supervisor he helped name many of the roads and streets in the township. Eddie also managed area softball teams, collected trains, was an avid Boston sports fan, and a roller coaster and blue grass music enthusiast. Surviving are his daughters, Susan I., widow of Michael S. Kreitz, Reamstown, PA; Ruth A. Kramer, friend of Gaile Gehman, Lancaster, PA; Marie J., wife of Torrence Jenkins, Denver, PA; sisters, Florence E. Miller and Helen M. Werner, both of Reinholds; and a brother, Howard A., husband of Betty J. (Moyer) Kramer, Denver. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 12 Noon from Swamp Lutheran Church, Swamp Church Road, Reinholds, PA 17569, with Revs. Dennis Trout and Robert Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in Swamp Cemetery, Reinholds. Viewings will be Friday, May 30, from 6 to 8 PM at Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, and Saturday, May 31, at church 11 to Noon.
