We Remember "Chut"... Helen Marie "Chut" Nelson, 76, of 244 Willow Street, Adamstown, Lancaster County died Monday morning in Semper Care Hospital, Lancaster, where she was a patient for 3 weeks. Her death followed a lengthy illness. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Russell S., Sr., and Helen (Wilson) Nelson. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, Lancaster County. Miss Nelson was employed from 1945-60 in the credit department of the former Pomeroy's Department Store, Reading; had worked at the former Leininger Knitting Mill, Mohnton; and retired in 1990 from Bollman Hat Factory, Adamstown. A 1942 graduate of the former Shillington High School, she was an avid bowler in her younger years. Surviving are 2 brothers, Russell S. Nelson, Jr., Stevens Point, Wisconsin; and Barry R., married to Nancy R. (Artz) Nelson, Shillington, PA; 2 nieces and a nephew. Memorial Service Chut's memorial ceremony will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2001, at 7:00 PM with The Reverend William E. Hoch officiating in Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville.
